Veronica Womack

Dr. Veronica Womack is an Identity and Inclusion Scholar-Practitioner at Northwestern University where she manages, trains, and develops content for a nationally-based, professional development program for STEM faculty. She has a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Howard University and completed one of the first dissertations about mindful awareness among African American college students. She studies and facilitates trainings on social identity, inclusive teaching, and mindfulness. She also cultivates affinity spaces that center wellness, collective care, and authenticity in the workplace. Dr. Womack’s research and commentaries have been published in Psychosomatic MedicineJournal of Vocational Behavior, Sex Roles, and TIME magazine. She continues to share her knowledge with the next generation of psychologists as an Adjunct Professor at Governors State University’s School Counseling Program where she teaches Mindfulness Studies.
